Silverton Sharks: Meet the Coaches

Meet the Coaches for the 2019 Summer Season

Head Coach: Jacob Cole                            Hey y’all!
My name is Jacob Cole and I am SO excited to be returning back to Silverton as the head coach for the 2019 season! I took a two year hiatus from coaching while I was traveling the world in 2017 and getting acclimated to my first teaching job in 2018, but I am beyond ready to get back on deck and hit the ground running this season! I am Silverton born and raised – I swam for the team from 2002-2015 and was a junior and assistant coach from 2012-2016. Since I was last at the pool, I student taught around the world, graduated from Luther College (Decorah, Iowa) in December 2017 with a major in math and minors in writing and secondary education, and started teaching at West Lake Middle School in early February! Right now, I teach 8th grade Math and English on Track 3 and enjoy every second that I get to work with the students! The combo is a challenge, but I’ve enjoyed it thus far.
Even though a lot has changed since my last time at Silverton, I’m excited to see where this season takes us. I can’t wait for this summer and to see everything that is coming, both what coaching is going to hold for me and what the season is going to hold for the team! I can’t wait to see all the returning swimmers again (those of you that haven’t aged out, that is!) and meet all the new swimmers that have joined since I left. Feel free to contact me with any questions that you may have!
Go Sharks!
Coach Jacob

Asst. Coach: Drew Hollett

My name is Drew Hollett and I previously swam summer league for 8 years. I started swimming year round when I was 10 and have not stopped since. I attend Athens Drive High School where I swim with them as well competing all 3 years so far at our state meet. I have competed at junior nationals and currently want to swim in college. I look forward to getting to know everyone on the team and hope to have a great summer. See you on the pool deck!
