Meet the Coaches for the 2018 Summer Season
Head Coach: Tim Schade
Coach Tim is in his second summer of coaching the Silverton Sharks. He was born in New York but grew up in the Apex/Cary area of North Carolina. Coach Tim began swimming competitively at the age of nine for the Marlins of Raleigh. After graduating from Panther Creek high school in 2013, he went on to swim for and graduate from Arizona State University. He graduated from ASU with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Currently, he is in the first year of a M.Ed. in Athletic Counseling at Springfield College in Massachusetts. While working towards his degree, he is also a graduate assistant coach for the Springfield College swim team. Coach Tim got his coaching start in 2014 as an assistant coach for the Olive Chapel Otters. Since then, he has worked in multiple capacities for swim teams all across the country.
Swimming has played such a huge part in his life, and he hopes to encourage that same love of swimming in each of his swimmers. Coach Tim is excited for another great summer with the Silverton Shark family!
Asst. Coach: Natalie Patetta
I am Natalie Patetta, and I am super excited to be an assistant coach again this season! This is my third year as a coach, but I have been part of the Silverton Swim Team since I was 4 years old. I have also been a Big Shark for about 5 years. I am currently a senior at Green Hope High School, and I have been a part of the Falcon’s swim team for 3 years now. Both the Sharks and the Falcons have become my second family, and I plan to continue swimming in college. As many of you know, swimming runs throughout my family. My older sister, former Coach Jenn, and my other sister, Katherine, have both graduated from the Silverton Swim Team, and like them, I can’t stay out of the water.
I’m so excited to be one of the coaches for this amazing team again, and I’m thrilled to see all of the new and returning swimmers!
Asst. Coach Drew Hollett
My name is Drew Hollett and I previously swam summer league for 8 years. I started swimming year round when I was 10 and have not stopped since. I attend Athens Drive High School where I swim with them as well competing all 3 years so far at our state meet. I have competed at junior nationals and currently want to swim in college. I look forward to getting to know everyone on the team and hope to have a great summer. See you on the pool deck!
